A leader in the field of equestrian consultancy, Alec draws on significant experience from many different aspects of the industry. As a former elite level athlete, a world leader in equestrian event management and a “go to” consultant for major projects, Alec integrates and combines his own and the relevant skills of other professionals to meet the requirements of a project. He regularly demonstrates outstanding capabilities in collaborating with and establishing productive business relationships with partners, suppliers, clients, and other service users.

Facility and venue design, both temporary or permanent, new-build or refurbishment, including everything from private equestrian facilities to world leading international sporting venues.

Projects included working with city frame work planners, sustainability frameworks, district and education planners for large-scale resorts incorporating equestrian leisure facilities with other activities such as golf courses, hotels and wider recreational areas/activities.

Managing stakeholders and service requirements of a large-scale equestrian venue is critical in successful design. Alec works as a project leader with responsibility throughout the full life of the project feasibility, concept design, design development, management and operational planning, sporting facility design including cross-country course construction and delivery.

Event management of global equestrian championships Alec has been involved in three Olympic Games as an Equestrian Competition Manager or Technical Delegate, as well as a vast number of other equestrian events worldwide..

Venue activation, athlete training and client engagement – the success of a venue is reliant on development of the stakeholder engagement plan. He is highly experienced at creating USPs for venues.
